Planet B was received an award for Best Short-Short Animated Documentary at the Jersey Shore Film Festival. I guess the animation can be seen as documenting a nightmare, had not though about it that way.

The animation played on opening night, which I attended. It was in good company there, I really enjoyed the music video Nocturnal created by Big Howl from Phildelphia. Part of it is included in their demo reel. I met one of the founders, Kevin Kelly, and one of their fabricators. They do a lot of puppet building and stop motion. Hope to visit their studio soon!

The feature that evening was Lucky Jack, directed by Bridget Smith and produced by Steve Edwards, about the remarkable life of Steve’s father. An impressive documentary with life action re-enactments, and a strong message about living purposefully and striving for personal excellence.
